The 2026 Mariner Edition contains the Merchant expansion alongside the base game and Patronus expansion. The publisher states the edition updates graphics, icons and terminology without changing gameplay. The 28-page Mariner rulebook integrates the base rules and its tile references; use it as the authority for setup and effects.
The merchant module supplies additional Port, Destination, Discovery and animal content represented by the tiles used during normal setup. These are shuffled into their respective supplies and randomized as directed in the core setup; no separate expansion toggle is needed. Exact tile faces are not reproduced here because this guide has not completed a face-by-face audit.
Scope gap
The publicly linked Mariner rulebook confirms the combined content and includes a full Port/Destination reference, but does not label every tile by its original expansion. A component-by-component inventory is still open. Do not infer an individual tile’s effect from its appearance; consult the tile and rulebook reference.
