Tips & Strategy
Planning goods, capacity and location powers.
Expand capacity early
You begin with room for one cube. A cart, horse and cart, ship, and warehouse open more spaces; the ship also pays a VP each turn. Plan upgrades before taking more goods than you can store.
Pair a supply with a destination
Before buying goods, check whether you can reach the desired St Katherine’s price or complete a face-up Stepney cargo later in the same action phase. Cargo rewards can return goods, money or other useful assets.
Choose bells for repeated value
A bell’s points remain valuable, but its location power can shape many turns. Compare the location’s recurring benefit with the order in which you expect to use that action.
Watch the ship market
Old Bailey changes share prices every turn. The draw order and any bell there affect both the market movement and which ships investors can choose.
