The solo mode is part of Here Comes a Candle.

Solo mode

[Candle] The expansion adds a one-player mode. Set up as a two-player game for 12 rounds, with one board for you and one for the automated Game Player. You place first, then its two workers, then your second worker. Start with 5 and 6 gold respectively. Choose your career, randomly draw the Game Player’s career, apply both career tiles and set out the matching priority/rules cards. The cargo stack places two Level III tiles beneath the End Game marker and ten above it. Full automated-player priorities are in the expansion rules.
