Game End and Scoring
When Opera Magna ends and how to score it: the eight Victory Point boxes, from completed Buildings and Shop Evolution to Certificates, the Opera majority and Worksites, and the tie-breaks.
End of the game
The last round starts once the last Trade Card is revealed onto the
Market. Nobody takes new Trade Cards or Buildings in it. After the last player’s turn the game ends
and you add up the final score. Most
wins.
Final scoring
Everyone started on 5 on the Victory Points track. Add up the eight boxes of the rulebook’s back cover:
| Box | What scores |
|---|---|
| 1. Game | Every point already earned during the game from effects |
| 2. Completed Buildings | Each completed Building: Small 2, Medium 3, Large 4 |
| 3. Shop Evolution | Positions on your Shop Board holding at least one Building: 2 → 1, 3 → 2, 4 → 4, 5 → 7, 6 → 10 |
| 4. Certificates | Each Certificate on your Shop Board: level 1 → 1, level 2 → 2, level 3 → 3 |
| 5. Blue Buildings | The end-of-game effect of each blue Building on the right of your board (list) |
| 6. Refined Goods | 1 |
| 7. The Opera | 2 |
| 8. Worksites | Each Worksite with one of your tokens: level 1 → 1, level 2 → 2, level 3 → 3 |
Some Worksite tokens and blue Buildings also score only now (marked with a flag), and Worksites 04B and 08B count as 1 or 2 extra tokens of yours for box 7.
[Eagle] With an expansion Opera Board, box 7 is scored separately for each Opera or Section (The Eagle & The Lion).
Tie-breaks
- The tied player who sent the most Player Tokens to Worksites wins.
- Still tied: compare tokens on level 3 Worksites, then level 2, then level 1.
- Still tied: the player with the most Raw Goods wins.
