Eastern Hanseatic League
The East map adds maritime links, city rules and a new long-distance connection.
Short tag: [East]

What it adds
[East] Use the East board for 3–5 players with normal player pieces and writing desks. Its maritime routes use merchants, each route carries a permanent bonus, and Waren, Belgard and Dresden have special city rules.
Setup changes
[East] Follow the standard setup, choosing the East board. Do not place standard bonus markers beside a maritime route: its printed permanent marker is fixed. The ordinary start markers and replacement supply remain in use elsewhere.
Maritime routes and cities
A maritime route requires the specified number of your merchants, typically one or two, on its connection points. When claimed, resolve normal city points first, then the endpoint office reward, then that route’s permanent effect. Its permanent effect may move two pieces, develop Privilege, establish an office in a green city, or place two pieces on a route; follow the symbol printed beside that route.
In the green cities, only the permitted special bonus can establish the first post. When an office is added to Belgard, Waren or Dresden, the city is considered complete immediately and advances the completed-city track.
Waren can also develop either Actions or Bank. The East–West connection runs from Lübeck to Danzig. Königsberg has the map’s special prestige spaces.
End and scoring changes
[East] The end trigger and normal final categories stay the same as the base board. Use the East-specific city and route symbols. The original East sheet describes Mission Cards as a module; the current Big Box rules make them optional—use the option listed on Mission Cards when playing with them.
