The five company actions and how each one works.

Invest

Buy one available share from the company matching your worker’s color. Pay the current quote, advance that company’s quote marker one space, and take the shareholder bonus shown for the space you filled.

Import tea

Buy tea boxes in cities that have a factory of your worker’s color. Pay with money, or use concessions: one concession substitutes for the listed cost of black or green tea; two substitute for white or red. Advance the company quote one space even if you buy no tea. You may spend a concession before or after importing to activate a matching city’s Deal tile.

Negotiate

Place one of your agents at the matching company headquarters. You may move an agent already in a city or at Tea Break; if you have no agents in cities, move one from Tea Break. Collect the headquarters bonus, take an adjacent contract, gain one concession, and receive £2 for each agent in cities plus £1 for each at Tea Break.

Expand

You may build a factory and place a market post in either order. Take a factory from the top of its company stack and place it in a city with an empty factory space and no factory of that color. Advance the quote by the number shown for that city row, then refill any factory offer spaces. Take a post from your player board and put it in a city with an open post space and none of your own posts; collect the printed money and the covered bonus. If you have no posts left, collect £4 instead.

When an opponent takes tea or activates a Deal tile in a city containing your market post, earn £1 for each qualifying city action, as specified by the rules.

Serve Tea to the Crown

Take a tea box from a city with a factory matching your worker color and place it on an open Royal Order. Each order requires different tea types. Take the covered bonus, gain the printed value for the tea (red £3, white £2, green or black £1), take a Royal Mandate, then advance the company’s Royal Supplier marker. Follow the supplier movement and Royal Order reset; refill empty Mandate spaces during maintenance.
