Your tea-trading business
Green Gold is a game of building a tea business through five linked actions. Move your pawn to a different action, choose an available worker, and use that worker’s color to select the company you will work with. Collect money, tea and concessions, then turn those resources into shares, contracts and Royal Orders.
You win by having the most money after final scoring. Shares, company majorities, Mandates and office upgrades can add value; loans and leftover resources affect the final total too.
Set up the tea companies
Place the board and sort the workers, shares, company pieces, contract tiles and Royal pieces as shown in the setup guide. Each player takes a color, player board, agents, market posts, £7 and a concession.
Choose a worker deposit next to your action. Its color tells you which tea company your action will affect. The company quote tracks show share prices, while city spaces hold factories, tea, agents and market posts.
Take an action
On your turn, move to a different action space. Crowded spaces cost £1 per pawn already there. Choose a worker in one of the neighboring deposits or pay to take a more distant worker, then take the action for that worker’s company color.
Invest to buy shares, Import to buy tea, Negotiate to place an agent and collect a contract, Expand with factories and market posts, or Serve Tea to the Crown for money and Mandates. Read the action details.
Deliver tea and build value
Contracts trade the requested tea and other requirements for their printed rewards. Cities can provide tea, bonuses and income, while market posts can pay when other players trade or activate a Deal tile there.
Buying shares raises a company’s quote and may earn dividends. Serving the Queen pays according to tea color and awards Mandates. Plan your actions around both immediate income and final scoring.
Finish the game
The endgame begins when the dividend track reaches its last space or all the shares in three companies are gone. Finish the current round and play one final round.
Add your cash, share values, majority rewards, Mandates and office upgrades. Leftover tea and concessions count in pairs, and each loan costs £8. The richest player wins; ties go to the player with the most shares. See endgame scoring.
