The village

Join the four Village boards and place the Tournament, Combat, Sensei Activities and Athlete Activities boards as shown in the rulebook.
Place the Reservation tiles, one Secret Technique of each color, dice, PP, Ki, Wound and Experience tokens within reach. Set the round marker at the start of the track.

Each Dojo

Choose one Dojo. Take its Dojo board, two Dojo Expansion boards, Senpai card, Sensei token, four Athlete tokens, two Prediction cards and player aid.
Place your Sensei and Senpai tokens on their starting spaces. Keep the remaining Athlete tokens beside your board until you recruit those athletes.

Shared displays

Separate the Season 1 and Season 2 decks. Reveal the Season 1 Adventure and Special Move cards; set out the matching Training Equipment and Athlete card displays.
Reveal Training Equipment and Season 1 Athlete cards in the number of spaces indicated by the player-count setup table.
