Solo Mode
Set up the neutral player and resolve its automated turns.
Setup changes
Use the two-player setup, including two neutral Day discs in every region and one neutral Insider Tip per region. On the bot Calendar, flip Monday, Thursday, and Sunday discs to their Insider Tip sides. Deal three Location cards face up in a row for the bot. If you draw Vienna, Stockholm, or Liechtenstein, discard it and draw a replacement.
Bot turns
After each of your turns, the bot spends as many days as you spent on that turn. It places those discs in the region shown on its leftmost Location card, then discards that card and refills the row to three. If you spent Excitement to reduce a Location’s day cost, the bot places fewer discs by that amount. The bot does not take card actions, collect Postcards, or gain income.
Changing the bot’s destination
After your turn, before resolving the bot, you may pay 2 Coins or 1 Energy to discard cards from the Bot Row: discard the leftmost card, or discard it and the middle card together. In hard mode, the cost increases with each discard action: the first two cost 2 Coins or 1 Energy; the next two cost 3 Coins or 1 Energy plus 1 Coin; later discards cost 4 Coins or 2 Energy. Place a resource marker on the bot Calendar each time you discard, to track the cost tier.
Solo scoring
Score regions with the standard two-player rules. The bot scores 4 points for a regional majority, or 6 in a Scoring Bonus region; second place is worth 2 points. Use the normal tie-breaks, including the neutral Insider Tips and total discs.
