Welcome to Abroad

You have four weeks to travel across Europe and prove yourself as a guide. Play Location cards to visit places, gather resources, collect Postcards, and leave Day discs across the map. Insider Tips help you win regional majorities; a well-planned itinerary can also complete Bucket Lists and visit Festivals.
The player with the most points after Week 4 wins. You score from regional majorities, your Postcard goal, Bucket Lists, Festivals, and card effects. The game supports 1–5 players and takes about 90 minutes.
Start with the setup checklist. For your first play, leave the Festival tiles in the box and draw just one starting Postcard.
Set Up the Map and Calendars
Place the map and shared pieces, then prepare each player’s Calendar, 28 Day discs, pawn, resources, hand of seven Location cards, and Postcard. The setup page shows all five player counts and separates the first-game setup from the full Festival setup.

Take a Travel Turn
Each turn has three parts in order: travel, take one activity, then use optional extras. A Location visit spends days based on the card’s cost; Write, Rest, and Plan trade one day and three cards for resources or new cards. Your pawn’s region determines where those activities place your Day disc.

Score Each Week
Once everyone has spent the week’s days, score every region with Day discs. Insider Tips decide the majorities; ties compare all your Day discs there. Then refresh Festivals, gain income, and prepare for the next week.

Finish the Journey
After Week 4 income, score the better goal on your Postcard and convert leftover resources into points. The most points wins; Energy and Excitement break a tie.
