Solo
The base game's solo mode: Corporate Era, TR 14, two neutral cities, and 14 generations to finish terraforming.
Goal
Finish terraforming — all three global parameters at their goals — by the end of generation 14. If you do, score as usual for a personal best. If you don’t, you lose.
The game always lasts 14 generations: finishing early just gives you more time to score.
Setup changes
Solo always uses the Corporate Era cards. On top of the normal setup:
- Neutral tiles: before you choose your cards, place 2 neutral cities, each with a neutral greenery next to it (see below). They are not yours and don’t raise oxygen.
- Start at TR 14 (marked solo on the track), with no extra production: only what your corporation gives.
- No milestones or awards.
Placing the neutral tiles
Reveal and discard the top 4 project cards and use their costs as counts:
- City 1: count that many areas from the top-left of the map, left to right and down, like reading.
- City 2: count backwards from the bottom-right the same way.
- Greeneries: for each city, count clockwise around it starting at its top-left neighbour.
Skip illegal areas, such as ocean areas, while counting. If you play Tharsis Republic, it still gets M€ production for the two neutral cities.
Playing
- Your turn comes straight back after each 1–2 actions until you pass.
- There is a neutral opponent you can steal from or lower: it has unlimited resources and production of every kind.
- After the production phase of generation 14 you may still turn plants into greeneries, but they don’t raise oxygen.
