Practical priorities for building a reliable hospital engine.

Keep the Patient queue moving

Patients arrive each round, and your four base spaces fill quickly. Diagnostics help reveal which cases need urgent care; capacity from Outpatient Clinics and Clinical Trials gives you more room to respond.

Balance income with treatment

Credits and production support the Medical cards that improve your hospital, while Diagnostics, Healing and Staff let you manage the Patient queue. Congress Doctors are flexible between Staff and Research, but claim them before other players reach the same board spaces.

Read deadlines before spending

Critical cases cannot wait through Cleanup. Severe cases have a two-Time limit, and Terminal Patients need Healing immediately, then each round to keep their ongoing reward. Priority 4 Patients can wait after diagnosis; chronic Patients become more expensive to heal as Time accumulates.

Use the card engine deliberately

Ongoing effects reward early investment, while action cards refresh each round. Keep some resources for treatment instead of spending everything in Actions. Treating Patients also builds the progress needed to pay Clinical Trial costs.
