Tips & Strategy
Watch the first moves, company treasuries, town demand and cargo capacity.
Value the opening choice
The order you choose a bonus slot determines starting cash and Navigation Points, and also sets the initial Time Track stack. Choosing a company assigns your initial two shares, CEO badge, ship port and point placements. Consider whether central routes or an early stock purchase matter more in this map. The designer describes the first choice as powerful, while noting that openings vary with the board.
Keep company and personal money separate
Navigation Point placement is paid by its company. Tolls go to the companies whose points your ship uses. Shares and dividends move credits between personal funds and company treasuries. A healthy treasury supports routes, share sales and payouts, so consider who benefits when money moves.
Plan the route and the delivery together
You can stop at an available intermediate port and take another free Set Sail action, resetting share coverage for the next movement. A full port cannot be used to stop or reset. Advertise can move a needed Demand Marker closer; the delivery itself changes all container prices and may trigger another delivery at that town.
Watch container capacity
Companies hold at most six containers each. The Cargo Space investment gives your ship two more slots, while Loading lets you fill it faster. Delivering a color sells all of that color aboard at once, so plan around the current demand rather than expecting to split a load.
