Game End and Scoring
How each side wins, how hourglasses are counted and the chase when both goals come true together.
How the game ends
Check at the end of each turn, after the Appeal for Witnesses:
- The Investigator wins if only one suspect is left: he is Mr. Jack.
- Mr. Jack wins if he has 6 or more hourglasses.
- After turn 8 with no winner, Mr. Jack wins.
Hourglasses
Mr. Jack counts the Turn tokens he won (1 each) and the hourglasses on the Alibi cards he drew.
His identity card does not count.
The chase
If both goals come true at the end of the same turn:
- After turn 8: the Investigator wins if Mr. Jack was seen, Mr. Jack if he was not.
- Before turn 8: play on. The Investigator wins at the end of the first turn in which Mr. Jack is seen; Mr. Jack wins if he stays unseen to the end of turn 8.
