Solo: Corporate Bot

Set the bot's difficulty and resolve its action and reset turns.

Solo setup

Set up the mine and shops as in a multiplayer game. Use a dashboard’s reverse side to choose one of four bot difficulties; more stars mean a harder opponent. Place the matching bot mech on the surface. Give it the eight starting cards in its color and one Damage card, shuffle them face down, and do not add TORSO or a card stand. The bot never buys cards, gains credits, draws cards, or reshuffles its deck.

You start with 2 credits and 3 cards. You take the first turn, then alternate turns with the bot.

Bot action turn

If the bot starts its turn on the surface, reveal the top card of its deck. Use only the main-effect fuel cost. Find that row on the bot’s action board and the leftmost column that still has empty mineral spaces. Their intersection sets the bot’s number of drills and whether it moves.

The bot uses every drill it has, following the board’s priority list across all open floors and ignoring where its mech is. For each priority, it takes the first action that exists and that it can afford. It can repeat this while drills remain. If it collects a mineral type available on several floors, it takes one from the topmost floor. If a required Silver is not on an open floor, it takes one from the supply.

After spending its drills, it collects the most valuable mineral on any open floor. If the action includes movement, the bot moves to the open floor with the most Ruby; ties are checked by Emerald, Sapphire, Gold, then Silver. If still tied, it goes to the bottommost floor.

Minerals fill the bot’s track from left to right. A mineral slot holds either two Silver/Gold or one of any other mineral; keep an odd Silver/Gold in the buffer until it pairs. When its track is full, later minerals go into its overflow zone.

Bot reset turn

If the bot starts its turn underground, it takes a reset turn and does not reveal a card:

  1. Collect the two most valuable minerals on its current floor. For each missing mineral, take a Silver from the supply.
  2. Move the bot to the surface. For each Silver or Gold it collected, discard a lowest-credit-cost card from the shop display. For each Sapphire, Emerald or Ruby, discard a highest-credit-cost card. Ignore battery costs; if several cards tie at that credit cost, discard all tied cards. Refill the emptied shop spaces.

Milestones and floor cards

When the bot reaches a milestone first, it takes the token and the Ruby shown there; you get the normal credit or card reward. When you reach a milestone first, the bot takes a Silver from the supply instead of a player reward.

The bot reveals floor cards when it opens floors but ignores their effects. Exception: when Jackpot appears, add one Emerald to the floor; only you can collect it.

Solo end and scoring

The solo game ends if you or the bot completes a progress track, or if the bot reveals its last card. Whoever triggered the end finishes that turn, then the other participant takes one last turn.

Score your own game normally. The bot scores only its minerals, mine tiles and milestones. It does not lose points for being underground or for cards in its deck. You win by scoring more than the bot.
