When should I shuffle my discard pile into a new deck? Official
As soon as your deck is empty, shuffle your discard pile and put it face up in your card stand. Do not wait for the next draw.
Can I use a permanent card's ability in the same turn I buy it with a drone? Official
Yes. A permanent card bought with a drone can be used during that same Operations phase.
What happens when a shop deck runs out of cards? Official
That shop no longer refills, so fewer cards remain available for the rest of the game. Credits and minerals are not limited; use suitable replacements if the supply runs out.
How do Cleaning Break, Mining Drone, Refuelling Drone and Ultrahot Furnace work? Official
When you play one of these cards for its main effect, increase either your storage or fuel capacity by one step without paying credits. If that track is already fully upgraded, skip the increase.
How does Current-C Miner work? Official
Choose a non-empty market column, then move its top mineral directly to your overflow zone. You do not gain credits for this move.
Can I use default functions during a card's main effect? Official
No. Use default functions before or after resolving a card, not during its main effect.
Can I keep using movement, drills or cards after Surfacing? Official
No. Extra movement and drills are lost, and cards can only be played during Operations.
Can I keep excavating after my progress track is full? Official
Yes. Put any additional excavated mine tiles to the right of your dashboard; they do not fit on the track.
Are Hot Tub and Rad Bath effects optional? Official
No. Floor-card effects are mandatory whenever their trigger occurs.
Can I discard minerals from storage to make room for another one? Official
No. You cannot discard a stored mineral to free a space; collect only when your storage has room.
What happens if a corridor tile or Damage card runs out?
If a floor has no corridor tiles left, you cannot excavate there again. If you must take a Damage card and the stack is empty, return the top mineral from the rightmost non-empty market column to the supply instead.
Can I use my shop-refresh tile when a drone buys a card? Official
No. The shop-refresh tile is used during Surfacing, not during an Operations-phase drone purchase.
Can I still sell minerals when my overflow zone is full? Official
Yes. Continue selling for the usual credits and points; the minerals no longer shorten your progress track.
Do I get the Surfacing phase if Operations ends underground?
No. You only take Surfacing when your mech ends Operations on the surface. If it is underground, go directly to Upkeep.
How many unplayed cards can I keep during Upkeep?
Keep one card for free. Each additional card costs one fuel; if you cannot pay, discard it. Then draw three cards as usual.
