Solo Scenarios
Official solo play by managing both teams, with four scenario setups.
How solo works
One person manages both teams. Draft each squad, choose both formations, then play the normal match rules. This is a self-managed match rather than an automated opponent. The publisher says its scenario sheets use players from the Classic Set.
Official scenarios
The publisher offers four printable lineups and strategies:
- Old versus New — use the official scenario sheet for both lineups, positioning and special instructions.
- 11 vs 10 — use the official scenario sheet for the player counts and starting condition.
- Tortoise and the Hare — the fast side should press high and exploit space behind the defence; the slower side should sit deep, use its tricky attackers and counter into gaps. See the official sheet.
- Style Clash — one side has fast wings and a powerful forward, while the other favours a slower technical approach. The sheet suggests high balls and wing play against first-time passes and dribbling. See the official sheet.
For each scenario, follow the publisher’s lineup, starting positions and special conditions on the linked sheet.
Manager profiles
The publisher also offers Dan Brown’s manager profiles for solo or two-player matches. Use the official profiles as an optional tactical framework alongside the standard match rules.
First solo match
Start with a scenario whose goal is easy to keep in mind. Set both teams before placing players, check which side begins with possession, and keep the scenario’s special conditions visible. Follow the base movement and possession rules unless the scenario sheet changes them.
