The tiles drawn at the start to choose the first player touch each other. Do they found a chain?
No. They stay on the board as independent buildings. A chain is founded only when someone later plays a tile next to them.

When can I set aside an unplayable tile?
At the end of your turn, after placing a tile: put every tile that would join two safe chains face up out of play and draw replacements. A tile that would found an eighth chain is not unplayable — keep it until a headquarters comes free.

Where does the headquarters building go?
On a tile of the new chain that is already on the board — never on an empty space, which would block it.

Can I sell stock on my turn when I need money?
No. Stock in an active chain is never sold; you only sell stock of an acquired chain during its merger, and everything at the end of the game.

Is the info card's bonus multiplied by the number of shares I own?
No. Your number of shares only decides your rank (primary, secondary, tertiary). The bonus is the amount in that rank's column for the chain's size.

Are money and stock public?
Your group decides at setup (step 7). Many groups keep stock open and money hidden. You may always ask how many shares of a chain are left in the tray.

After causing a merger, can I still buy stock, and at what price?
Yes: buying is the second part of every turn and comes after the merger. The surviving chain's price is read at its new, larger size.

In what order do players deal with their acquired stock?
Starting with the mergemaker and going clockwise. Owning the most shares gives no priority.

Tycoon Mode: three players tie for primary stockholder. How is it paid? Official
Add the primary, secondary and tertiary bonuses, divide by 3 and pay that to each of the tied players. Nobody else gets a bonus from this chain.
Source: BGG thread
Classic Mode: what does a tie for primary stockholder pay?
The tied players share the primary and secondary bonuses equally (rounded up to the next $100). Nobody gets a secondary bonus. A tie for secondary splits the secondary bonus.

Must I announce the end as soon as it is possible?
No. Announcing is optional: you may play on, for example to grow a chain you hold stock in. Once you announce it, finish your turn and the game ends.
