Welcome to Acquire

You are hotel investors in a growing city. Building tiles become hotels, hotels join into chains, and bigger chains acquire smaller ones. Whenever a chain is acquired, its biggest shareholders are paid.
The player with the most money at the end wins.
Tiles and chains
Each tile fits one board space. A tile touching other tiles side by side founds a chain: put a headquarters on it and take a free share. Adding tiles grows it. A chain of 11+ tiles is safe.
The 7 chains come in three price tiers:
cheap,
middle,
expensive.
Your turn
- Place one of your 6 tiles.
- Buy up to 3 shares of chains on the board, at the price for their size.
- Draw a tile.
You never sell shares on a normal turn — only in a merger or at the end.
Mergers
A tile touching two chains merges them. The larger survives. The smaller one’s primary and secondary stockholders (and tertiary in Tycoon Mode) get the bonuses on the info card — flat amounts for their rank.
Then each holder keeps the old shares, sells them, or trades 2 of them for 1 share of the survivor.
The end
When every chain is safe, or one has 41+ tiles, a player may call the end. Pay the bonuses for every chain, sell all shares, and count your cash. Most money wins.
