Cards & Components

Components and face types for the base game and The Counterfeiters.

The base component list and rules are from the official English rulebook. The expansion uses the publisher’s 2026 Counterfeiters rules. Available public images do not provide a verified scan of every card face, so the unverified faces are listed as gaps rather than described from a different edition.

Boards

  1. Shuffle the decks.
  2. Reveal the card pyramid.
  3. Fill the token board.
  4. Place Privileges.
PictureWhat it is
No verified imageToken board: its 25 spaces are filled from the center outward in the printed spiral. Tokens leave gaps as players collect them; refill only from the bag. (Turn and Actions)
No verified imageVictory tile: reminder for the three base-game win conditions. In the expansion, check any alternate conditions shown on a Royal you own. (Game End and Scoring)

Cards

Jewel cards

There are 67 cards across three levels. Every distinct face is not available in a readable, verified public scan; the values on those faces are not transcribed here. The official rulebook illustrates the card layout: prestige, bonus color, optional ability, crowns, and cost. (Turn and Actions)

Royal cards

The base game has four different Royal faces. The rulebook shows example abilities, but not a complete face gallery; individual face values remain unverified here. (Game End and Scoring)

Counterfeiter cards

The 2026 expansion contains 17 distinct faces. Its rulebook describes the ability set and costs but does not show a complete face gallery. Do not infer individual cost symbols or ability assignments from the summary text. (The Counterfeiters)

No verified complete public face scans found; all 17 faces remain a gap.

Expansion Royal cards

The expansion adds eight distinct Royal faces. The rules summarize their abilities and revised victory thresholds without a full front gallery. (The Counterfeiters)

Tiles

The Victory tile’s faces remain available only as printed reminders described under Boards.

Tokens & pieces

PictureWhat it is
No verified imageGem tokens: four each in five colors; collect them from an uninterrupted line or with Privileges and spend them toward Jewel costs.
No verified imagePearls: two tokens; pay pearl costs, with no matching bonus discounts. Taking both in one action grants your opponent a Privilege.
No verified imageGold: three wild tokens; gain one only by reserving a card. It can pay any gem or pearl cost and counts toward the ten-token limit.
No verified imagePrivilege scrolls: return one to take one non-gold token from the board.
No verified imageBag: holds tokens not on the board or with players; only its contents are used when refilling.
No verified imageGlassware ([Counterfeiters]): four purple tokens added to the bag; pay them as a separate cost type and count them toward the token limit unless a card waives that limit. (The Counterfeiters)

Icons

The rulebook’s icons indicate bonus color, ability, prestige, crowns, and token cost. Each ability is explained in Turn and Actions. Expansion ability-specific printed values require a clear card scan and are not guessed here.
