Game End and Scoring
Settle annual accounts, apply unfinished orders and achievements, then compare company values.
Annual accounts
After the fourth quarter of each fiscal year, calculate:
Stock Exchange value × $1M − $30M per small ship − $100M per large ship.
Receive a positive result from the Bank or pay a negative result. If you cannot pay, move down one Stock Exchange space, receive $100M, and recalculate using the reduced value. Repeat as needed. If you must drop below the lowest value of 60, you are bankrupt and leave the game. The optional rule lets you sell ships or factories to the Bank for their original cost instead.
End of the game
After the fourth year’s annual accounts:
- Move down one Stock Exchange space for each incomplete Order.
- Award remaining eligible black Achievements. If several players meet a requirement, each moves up one space.
- Move up one space for each Achievement you earned during play.
The highest Stock Exchange value wins. Ties break by most ships, then factories, then Achievements, then cash. A remaining tie is shared.
Changes to share value
| Change | When |
|---|---|
| +1 | Buy shares for $1,000M and 2 AP; a Production Track space; each earned Achievement at the end. |
| +1 or +2 | Deliver an Order, depending on whether goods were sold separately or together from one large ship. |
| −1 | Sell shares for $100M; an incomplete Order at game end; each unaffordable annual-account step. |
| +1 | Eligible black Achievement at game end. |
