Orders and deliveries

Deliver two goods to complete contracts and raise your company value.

Complete an order

Each Order shows two goods and a destination city. Buy the goods in their production regions, carry them there, and sell them. A sold good matching an active order is placed on that card. When the second good is sold at the destination, the order is complete and stays face down beside your Office board.

If both goods are sold together from the same large ship, advance two Stock Exchange spaces. If delivered separately, advance one space for the first delivery and one more when the order is completed. Each incomplete Order costs one Stock Exchange space at game end.

The Container Terminal

The Terminal has one price row for each good. Purchasing takes the rightmost container, so its displayed price changes as players buy and produce goods. A colored marker inside a container identifies its owner. Game-supplied containers belong to no player. News cards may add or remove containers from the right end of a row.

Port cities and production regions

GoodProduction cities
Wind turbinesHamburg, Rotterdam, London
SteelSan Francisco, New York, Quebec
OilBasrah, Port Sudan, Kolkata
WineBuenos Aires, Cape Town, Sydney
ElectronicsHong Kong, Incheon, Tokyo

Each city can produce its region’s good; the other four goods may be sold there at the city’s printed bonuses. Each city has two building sites for the local good. Factories are built on one site per region per player, up to three on that site.

News and achievements

At each quarter’s end, reveal one News card. Black title bars take effect immediately; white title bars affect the next quarter. Place grey closure discs when a city or canal is closed. Return used News to the deck’s bottom. The rulebook suggests using cards 1–16 in order or shuffled; for three years use 1–12, for five years 1–20. The optional Forecast News rule reveals the current and following quarter’s cards ahead of time.

At setup, reveal the three black Achievements and a number of red Achievements equal to the players. A player claims a red card immediately when its condition is met, even outside their turn. Each claimed Achievement adds one Stock Exchange space at game’s end. Black Achievements are awarded only at game’s end; if multiple players meet one, each advances one space and that card is discarded.

The book lists 50 News cards, 90 Orders, and 8 Achievements, but does not reproduce every face. Individual card effects and requirements are therefore not catalogued here.
