Cards & Components
Every Orloj component face: workshop and starting cards, hammer cards, calendar dials, assistants, scrolls, royal scrolls, windows, objectives and bonuses, the clock and board pieces, and all of Josef Mánes' solo cards and tiles.
Every distinct face, with what it does and where the rules explain it. The cards, calendar sections, apostle tiles and month and zodiac dials are pictured from the Tabletop Simulator mod (English edition); the other pieces from the rulebook. Details neither source makes readable are marked check against the physical component.
Boards
Calendar dials
12 month dials and 12 zodiac dials, each with a plain side (waiting in a construction area) and an illustrated side (built). Construct one to place it on the calendar.
| Picture | Description |
|---|---|
![]() | What it is: Month dials (blue, Roman numerals I–XII) and zodiac dials (purple, signs). A connected group can switch between both kinds: three touching dials score 6 VP. The game end trigger counts every month and zodiac dial (FAQ); either kind may be built (FAQ). |
![]() | What it is: Blocked month dial (6). Covers a construction space whose month is already on the calendar at setup. |
![]() | What it is: Blocked zodiac dial (6). The same for a zodiac sign. |
![]() | What it is: Large final construction dial. It flips when the last calendar dial is built. Each use costs exactly 1 gold, wood, paint and iron for 8 VP; it needs no extra worker and gives no adjacency or calendar bonus, but still gives your hammer bonus. Any remaining player may use it, even more than once (Final construction; FAQ; FAQ; FAQ; FAQ; FAQ; FAQ). |
The illustrated side of each dial; the plain side is the same for all.

Calendar sections
12 sections laid in a ring around the calendar (first game: use the ring printed on the board). Each shows one bonus: the painter gives one of the two beside it, and building a dial gives the one next to that dial.

Cards
Workshop cards
21 cards; three are on offer on the main board (Expand your workshop). Every card has the same four parts:
- Top — the reward you take when you buy it.
- Centre — the reward for placing an
assistant on it
(Place an assistant). - Bottom — a basic resource. Buying costs 1
paint plus 3, 2 or 1 of this resource
(left, middle or right position); placing an assistant costs 1 of it. - Side edges — half an apostle or half a hammer icon. Two halves side by side give that action once, when the second card is placed.
All 21 faces; the half icons sit on the left and right edges of each picture.

Your pieces
| Picture | Description |
|---|---|
![]() | What it does: Personal board — apostle panel, production tracks with their workers, rooster track, deviation slots (Workers), forge (hammer track) and two-space warehouse (Warehouse). Place apostles by paying the panel’s row cost; the warehouse holds at most one waiting assistant (FAQ; FAQ). You may place an apostle or assistant the same turn you take it if there is room in the warehouse and you can pay the cost (FAQ). |
| What it does: Deviation token (5) — plain side normal, broken-gear side forced (Deviation). A broken gear costs 1 VP at each rooster’s call and again at game end; spare corrections score only at a call, using your personal rooster track (FAQ). | |
| What it does: Workers (14) — placed on the clock, dials and objectives. Keep workers on calendar dials: they stay there and score / qualify for objectives, even when you pass (FAQ). | |
| What it does: Sculptor — moves between the four sculptor spaces. | |
| What it does: Apostle tiles (12, numbered 1–12, in three colours) — taken from the gears onto your panel (Take an apostle); see every face under Apostle tiles. You and Josef share the full set, and taking the last one gives no replacement reward (FAQ; FAQ). | |
![]() | What it does: Additional actions card — reminds you of the six additional actions: place an apostle, place an assistant, spend a coin, use a scroll, claim an objective, or trade 3 identical resources for 1 gold. Coins can stand in for any one basic resource in a trade; gold cannot be exchanged back into coins (FAQ). You may repeat a free action whenever you can pay its cost, and may use free actions at any point in your turn (FAQ; FAQ). |
Also yours: 3 production cubes and 1 hammer cube, a rooster disc, 3 mastery discs and a scoring marker.
Apostle tiles
Each player’s set has the same 12 faces, four of each colour: purple 1, 6, 7, 12; orange 2, 3, 8, 9; green 4, 5, 10, 11. A tile goes only on a space of its colour on your apostle panel, and the apostle objectives count three of one colour.
