Cards & Components
Boards, cards, tiles, tokens and player pieces in Oil Rock.
The component illustrations below come from Cranio Creations’ current Italian rulebook. See the official rules listing and publisher product page. The publisher’s current product listing and the rulebook disagree on some card and barrel totals; those counts are intentionally not repeated as settled facts pending reconciliation.
Boards

The shared board provides the Region network, rail routes, action wheel, Progress and score tracks, milestones and market. Regions show terrain and office spaces; Railway bonuses are resolved on arrival. Each player’s company board shows its three well shafts, drill costs, Office supply, Refinery spaces and Progress/Briefcase references.
Cards

The BGG gallery includes one close-up Improvement face. Its upper-left cost shows 1 Tool; the lower effect icons are not clear enough in the photo to transcribe, so check them against the physical component. The BGG gallery contains the source photo.

The market contains three Improvement families. Yellow Equipment provides ongoing effects; green Technology gives an immediate effect; blue Structure cards score their printed conditions at the end. Buy a face-up card, pay its cost, place it in the matching shaft row and gain points for the barrels exposed there. Individual distinct faces are not available as sharp standalone images in the current accessible source; the three representative rulebook faces above are sharp, while the full deck gallery remains open.
Tiles

- Drills: deepen one of three colored wells and increase its oil output. The pictured nine faces show the costs and barrel grade for each shaft/depth.
- Refineries: numbered 1–12; recipes determine which barrels can be processed. Tiles 7–12 use their reverse, modern sides.
- Extra Action tiles: spend three Patents to use one once per round; maximum one extra action per round.
- Turbines: build beside a Refinery to add production; their printed costs and score values differ.
- Briefcases: spend Patents to reveal rewards on these tiles.
- Character notebooks: advancement changes income and abilities; Level III gives each Character its distinct power.
- Far Regions promo: three tile faces are visible in the publisher image, but their text and rules are not legible. See Far Regions — To be added.
Tokens & pieces

The shared supply includes 12 Region tiles, 12 Railway Bonus tokens, Milestone tiles, Tools, Coins, Coal, three oil-barrel grades, Patent tokens and score markers. Each company uses a Train, Engineer, Assistants, Managers, Offices, Drills and Progress/score markers. Starting resources are one Tool, one Coal and one Coin, with turn-order compensation described in Setup and the numbered setup guide.
Icons

The player boards and tiles use colored barrel symbols for oil grade, wrench for Tools, coin for Coins, coal chunks for Coal, star for victory points, flask/lamp icon for Progress, and rail/engine icons for movement bonuses. Follow the symbol and number printed on the physical tile; when a promo icon cannot be read, check against the physical component rather than infer it.
