Legends
Legendary character sides, Fame and Feat cards.
Setup
Use the 16 double-sided Legendary characters instead of ordinary characters. Shuffle the 16 Feat cards and reveal one. Each player takes five Fame tokens of one color. Deal four starting cards to each player, except the sixth and seventh players begin with five. Other base setup rules still apply, including role distribution and the Sheriff’s extra bullet.
Fame and Feats
Each character starts on its normal side. Players may claim or boast about the visible Feat by meeting its condition and spending the required Fame. Players gain Fame for carrying out the feats described on the visible card; losing life can cost Fame. When a character earns enough Fame to enter legend, flip it to its Legendary side and use its stronger ability. Follow the exact Fame thresholds and claim timing on the Feat and character cards; those faces are to be added in the component inventory.
Other rule changes
A character at one life point may keep two cards rather than one at end of turn. A jailed player chooses either the regular Jail “draw!” check or discards a Heart from hand to remove Jail and play the turn.
Card and character effects
Publisher card faces and character text are listed below; each component entry links directly to its effect. Effects are concise paraphrases of the printed face and expansion rules.
Bart Cassidy (LEGEND)
Each time you lose a life point, draw 2 cards.
Black Jack (LEGEND)
For the sum of values, royalty (J, Q, K) are worth 10 and aces 11. If you score 21, you can reveal 1 more card before drawing all of them
Calamity Janet (LEGEND)
You may use BANG! as Missed! and vice versa; whenever you use Missed! as BANG!, draw 1 card.
El Gringo (LEGEND)
Your ability triggers even when a Feat is claimed and forces you to lose a life point. In this case, only draw the card from the player who hit you
Jesse Jones (LEGEND)
In Phase 1, if you take your first card from another player’s hand, take a second card from that same hand.
Jourdonnais (LEGEND)
You may use your ability even against Indians!, Gatling, Cat Balou, Panic!, etc
Kit Carlson (LEGEND)
Look at the top 4 cards; take 2 and return the other 2 to the top in any order.
Lucky Duke (LEGEND)
Your ability does not work with other character abilities (for example: Jourdonnais), but works any time a player wants to or should “Draw!” because of a card. If this happens during your turn, draw the card used to resolve the “Draw!” only after resolving any effect caused by the “Draw!”
Paul Regret (LEGEND)
Legendary Rose Doolan ignores distance, so she sees you at distance 1
Pedro Ramirez (LEGEND)
In Phase 1, if you take your first card from the discard pile, regain 1 life point.
Rose Doolan (LEGEND)
Your ability works even with other cards (Mustang, Scope, etc.) and other character abilities (for example: Paul Regret)
Sid Ketchum (LEGEND)
You don’t need a BANG! card to shoot the free BANG! It doesn’t matter how you regained the life point (using your ability, a Beer, or anything else)
Slab the Killer (LEGEND)
If you try to force a player to lose their last life point (either with a BANG! or by claiming a Feat), that player can play a Beer to remain in the game (as usual, except when only 2 players are left)
Suzy Lafayette (LEGEND)
Whenever your hand becomes empty, draw 2 cards.
Vulture Sam (LEGEND)
You stay in play without Fame tokens, so you cannot become a Legend again. If you are the Sheriff, you do not get the extra life point given by your role
Willy the Kid (LEGEND)
You don’t need a BANG! card to shoot the free BANG! You may choose to shoot the free BANG! or claim a Feat, never both

Do or make another player do a “Draw!” (even at the start of your turn)
A Quick Death

Wounded Pride
Another player causes one of your BANG! cards to miss
Fame tokens
Distinct shapes and colors identify each player’s set; spend them to claim Feats and track Fame.
