Tips & Strategy
Teaching advice and linked video sources for 1930.
How to teach it
Start with the shared incentive: players own stock, but any shareholder can take an action for that airline. Then explain income and the stock market, followed by how gates raise income and technology unlocks more regions. Finish with contracts, cleanup penalties, and the six-turn final flight.
Your first game
Allow extra time for the first game. Before starting, sort the Contract cards by value, review the initial stock-buy sequence, and point out that stock tokens used for operations are temporarily set aside. The first-round turn-order cards give different starting money and should be read before the first purchase.
Videos versus the rulebook
Videos can make the flow of an operating round easier to see. Use the publisher’s rules for exact stock, income, upgrade, and penalty details.
