Tips & Strategy
Practical planning prompts grounded in the 2026 rules.
- Check the dice pools before taking a die: pool size becomes its Potency, while its face also grants a Metal.
- Plan the Main action before spending Free actions. Extra Potency must be spent before it, and the die still pays at least one Potency.
- Keep one Artifact slot open if you expect to take another; you may hold at most six and place no more than two under a section.
- Books improve matching Experiments and can score up to 36 VP at seven in the Study. Gold for Knowledge competes with other uses, so look for the once-per-Element timing.
- A Publication section needs every icon covered before its Theory tile scores. Choose coverage that is feasible with the Elements your actions and cards can provide.
- Compare the die color to both card offers; an Artifact costs three Potency, while an Experiment is a Free action to perform after you have acquired it.
- Use each round’s prep to plan around refreshed offers and newly rolled pools. Avoid spending so much Potency early that the die cannot complete the intended Main action.
