Game End and Scoring
Final round, end-game points, loans, majorities, and ties.
After seven rounds in a four-player game or eight rounds in a two- or three-player game, complete the final round and score. The final-round player order is chosen from oil-drop points on Area cards, using the tiebreakers in round start.
Final scoring
Before scoring, in turn order, each player may use each refinery-symbol Area card they hold to empty one refinery of their choice under the normal rules. Then resolve the scoring categories in rulebook order:
- Score your Consolidation chips and the Refinery chip still on hand, using their values shown on the board.
- Score the printed oil-drop value on your chosen Area cards.
- Wildcatter disks in your supply score 2 / 6 / 12 / 20 / 30 / 42 for one through six disks. Disks still on the board score nothing.
- Built refineries score 0 for one or two, 6 for three, 14 for four, and 24 for five.
- Return 25 shares of your own color per outstanding loan. Lose one point per share you cannot return.
- For every three shares you hold, take one worker from the bank.
- Award worker-majority points: 8 / 4 / 2 for first / second / third. Tied positions share the points for all tied ranks, rounded down.
- On each continent separately, award 16 / 8 / 4 for the most / second-most / third-most delivered oil. In two- and three-player games, each Corporation’s oil competes for a rank; it earns no points, but can move human players to a lower rank. Tied positions share the points for all tied ranks, rounded down.
The highest Victory Point total wins. Break a tie with the most workers, then the lowest-numbered Player sequence chip.
Refinery chip
The Refinery chip’s remaining value is printed on the game board. Score it as shown there. Use the chip’s once-per-game ability during play only as described in transport.
